Forsbacka laundry is a privately owned laundry company with 28 employees. The company is located in Central Sweden approx. 5 km east of Sandviken. Forsbacka laundromat's customers are in the hotel and restaurant industries as well as private companies and public administration. Everything from clothes to sheets and tablecloths is washed by the Forsbacka laundromat. The capacity of the laundry is about 5 tons of laundry per day. Laundry is picked up from customers with their own cars.
In order to maintain the company's position as one of the leading laundries in Sweden, the price level must be competitive and the level of service high. Foreign substances in the washing water must absolutely not discolour the laundry. Therefore, the quality of incoming water must be high. The water used is taken from the nearby lake, Storsjön. This raw water contains high levels of humus. This water would be impossible to use as washing water if an effective purification plant did not exist.
In order to have enough good water for the washing process, a purification plant was installed. The plant consists of pH adjustment, residence time and dosing of polyaluminium sulfate as well as contact filtration with a Toveko CX filter. The facility has now been in operation for over 9 years without any problems. The flow varies between 6 to 8 m3/h. Toveko CX filter is of type S-150.
